Local Government Customer Insight Forum

The Local Government Customer Insight Forum promotes work on local service transformation and acts as a link to central government. It is a sub-group of the Local Government Delivery Council, which was established during 2007 under the auspices of the Local Government Association.

The Forum is chaired by Peter Sloman, Chief Executive of Oxford City Council. It has representatives from all English regions, and from a range of different types and sizes of council. It held its first meeting in May 2008.

The Forum's work includes:

  • sharing learning on the use of customer insight among councils and their partners
  • acting as a link to central government, in particular the cross-government Public Service Customer Insight Forum, supported by the Cabinet Office
  • developing specific projects, for instance by contributing to the guidance on customer insight being produced by the LGA and IDeA.

If you would like to be kept informed of the Forum’s work, please join the Customer Insight Community of Practice (CoP):
