Joining up workforce strategies

Joining up workforce strategies refers to the planning and actions required to integrate workforces in different organisations. Such integration offers the potential for better service outcomes, greater efficiency and improved customer satisfaction.

Latest publication: Moving forward together

The report ‘Moving Forward Together: Integrating workforce strategies in children’s services’ looks at what works best when all agencies involved in delivering children’s services tackle their workforce issues together. These include councils, education, health services, the police and voluntary organisations.

    The integrated workforce strategy project explored, with participant authorities and their local partners, the challenges and benefits involved in tackling local workforce issues together. The project involved action learning with seven study areas, involving six different local partnerships and covered children’s services and adult social care.
