Ingrid Koehler
A-Z of surnames:
Improvement Strategist
Ingrid’s work has focused on performance management in local authorities, working on the Performance Management, Measurement and Information (PMMI) project run jointly with the Audit Commission.
Her work includes:
- strategy and research development
- coordinating the PMMI action research programme
- working with local authorities to develop tools, case studies and other materials to share best practice throughout the sector.
Ingrid is also a key contributor to the Improvement Network, the LG Improvement and Development’s self-regulation project and other policy initiatives.
She previously worked for the Audit Commission where her work included the production of national reports such as 'Corporate governance', 'Building better library services' and 'Changing gear'. She has also worked for the London Borough of Brent and the Local Government Ombudsman, in the areas of performance management, review and improvement.
Raised and educated in the United States, she worked on a policy-changing review of US environmental clean-up programmes during her MA studies in Economics and Public Finance.
