Improvement Network
The Improvement Network website is a joint initiative sponsored by:
- Audit Commission
- LG Improvement and Development
- Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA)
- Leadership Centre for Local Government
- NHS Institute of Innovation and Improvement

The website aims to:
- help lay the foundations for successful partnership working in local areas
- build capacity for public sector managers and practitioners
- promote its sponsors' collective knowledge and expertise on key improvement issues
- provide practical examples of cross-sector improvement.
Improvement Tools
Approximately 7,000 users working in the local government, police and health sectors are now registered to the website's Improvement Tools. These provide information on a range of management topics designed to develop employee skills.
The site will be developed to address the partnership agenda and to promote a unique cross-sector approach to improvement issues.
