Community empowerment

Many councils have decades of experience of finding innovative ways to involve and empower local people. This ranges from helping to improve services to running facilities and influencing key decisions such as budgets and regeneration plans. Central government now expects councils and their partners to place community empowerment at the heart of everything they do.
