Members' guides to procurement

As local government finances are squeezed during difficult economic times, it will become even more important for councils to work together to save money and keep council tax down. This series of guides provides tips on how your council can make savings through better procurement.

The guides will cover professional services, energy, ICT, construction, social care and waste services. They are being produced by the IDeA, the Local Government Association (LGA) and the regional improvement and efficiency partnerships (RIEPs).
